James Goetz Florida Chronicles- The Connecticut Connection Part 2

Professor Goetz had received an odd telegram in Florida. It requested his prescience in New York for a meeting between the top scientists in the world. However, it was not from his employer, the United States Government, it was signed with a swastika. Curious and bored, Professor Goetz decided to attend this meeting.

The professor arrives at the address in New York at the date and time indicated on his invite. The room was filled with some of the brightest minds in the world today. Was everyone else as curious and bored as Professor Goetz?  A short young man, more aptly young teenager began the meeting. He was not affiliated with the United States or any country in North America. He had an extremely thick German accent. As he went on with his vision, he discussed creating a utopian society and needed a peace weapon that would ensure no nation would ever want it launched.

While this made sense a true psychopath could surely use it for their benefit of world domination. What was the link between his signature on the letter and the graffiti on the eastern United States seaboard from Connecticut to New Jersey to Florida?

Professor Goetz entered the house, he was startled to find his son, James, sitting and writing in the living room. As classes at the University were still cancelled, James Goetz sat patiently in New Jersey reading and writing about chiropractic theory while taking breaks from time to time to analyze the swastika graffiti.

The description given by the multiple clerks at the paint stores from Bridgeport to New Jersey all appeared to match that of the kid who made the presentation to Professor Goetz and the other world class scientists. This kid was certainly up to something. He was leaving his mark all over the United States and looking to create the most powerful weapon ever devised by man. The next morning the newspaper headlines were glaring. It stated there was a swastika flag now flying over Bridgeport, Connecticut!!! This was of course short lived to be replaced by the United States flag. Was the kid at it again?

Young James Goetz and his father, Professor Goetz, quickly made haste to Connecticut. As they owned they found the state building, the one, which just the day previous was vandalized with a swastika fled, was left in the rubbles.

James Goetz realized quickly this kid was not simply a mischievous delinquent, but a wolf bent on domination.  He had to be stopped. He had to be found.

The two Goetz men believed they knew where the kid cold be found. They went to the local ice cream shop in Bridgeport on Main Street and waited. Sure enough, in walks the kid.

James Goetz commented that no pain or explosives cold be found at an ice cream shop. Professor Goetz informed this kid that no scientist would ever create a weapon that he wanted.

The kid turned and ran out. He did not re-emerge for another forty years.
