THE JAMES GOETZ CHRONICLES
The James Goetz Chronicles
are set in the late 1800’s and based purely on fiction. Any reference or
similarities to any person or event is purely on fiction.
Stories are focused around
James Goetz, a doctor of Chiropractic any chiropractic philosopher and
detective. Dr. Goetz was born and raised by his parents, who emigrated from the
Ukraine in order to provide a better life for their son. After the Goetz family
arrival in Ellis Island, they settled in New Jersey, where his parents reside
today.
“Professor Goetz”, as James’
Father is aptly known, was promptly hired as a nuclear physicist with the
United States government. Professor Goetz was well ahead of his time in his
research and development. It was highly suspected that Albert Einstein
reconstructed most of his patent ideas a few years later.
James Goetz’s mother,
”Duchess” after moving to the United States, became a United States government
spy, stationed in Ireland and travels back to the Ukraine as well as Florida.
James Goetz is a
well-educated recluse. He left home in New Jersey when he was seventeen in
order to pursue a higher education. He was accepted into and graduated from
Yale. During his four-year education, Goetz, Goetz lived in Bridgeport; he
would stroll down towards the University of Bridgeport to meet with the great
showman, P.T. Barnum. Through Barnum, Goetz met both D.D. Palmer and his son
B.J. Palmer, the “founder” of Chiropractic.
Goetz quickly fell in love
with the chiropractic profession and began to
Practice on his fellow Yale
classmates. What he enjoyed most of all with the chiropractic profession was
the mystery and intrigue of diagnosis. It was a mystery. Without cutting open
the human body, Goetz found he could piece together the clues necessary to
solve the mysteries of the human body.
When his mother was in the
United States, Goetz loved to visit her in Tampa, Florida. She lived on a lake
and her house was positioned
On ten acres of land, Goetz
enjoyed Florida, especially in the cooler months when the temperature was down
to seventy degrees. The summer months in Florida were always past hot. Even
though the eldest Goetz had invented and utilized their own private air
conditioning, the summer heat was just ghastly
One particular hot summer
Florida day, James Goetz was swimming in the lake. It was a wonderful reprieve
from working the land. His plan for the day was to practice his chiropractic
technique before returning to Connecticut later that week. He was satisfied to
have an opportunity to stop by their New Jersey home on the way.
After drying off from the
lake, he walked up the hill into his mothers, off grid Tampa, Florida home.
Something was not right. It was silent, There we no sounds of his mother moving
about. Where could she be? “Mom”?
“Mother”? he bellowed. There
was nothing but silence.
As the soon to be doctor
Goetz moved into his mothers’ study, he noticed a very large dagger protruding
from the hardwood flooring. He carefully moved toward it, realizing it was safe
to read. Without touching the knife, he read the words, hastily scribbled on
the parchment. They simply said, “Picked up mail”
What did this mean? What was this in reference to? The only
person who may know is his father, the professor. It would take a few days ride
from Florida to New Jersey? Goetz knew he could not make haste and had to
hurry. He hopped on his horse and began his journey through Florida and the
Deep South towards home in New Jersey.
Scurrying into the Goetz
Family home, James found his father and quickly told him what happened. His
father informed him to return to school in Connecticut and that he would take
care of things. When James returned from school in winter, his mother should
return.
Following the professors’
orders, he returned to his school residence in Bridgeport, but refused to allow
his mother, United States special agent/spy or not, go missing? Who picked up the mail?
